Kitty Juniper

Kathleen “Kitty” Juniper helps corporations resolve regulatory and business issues in their business operations and with federal and state regulators. For 20 years, Ms. Juniper has served clients in regulated industries such as health products and services, advertising and sales, food and agriculture and FHA lending. She assists them in working with government regulators, expanding operations into new markets, preparing and negotiating contracts, establishing compliant operations and resolving general corporate counsel issues.

Ms. Juniper brings a diverse background in law, business and government to resolving clients’ issues. She served a term on the California Advisory Board on Health Care Service Plans, directed legal and government relations for Lenscrafters, then became president of its subsidiary vision care health plan. At the University of California, San Diego, she headed the government relations program for the medical center, school of medicine and health plan. As an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., Ms. Juniper regulated and investigated various consumer industries.

Ms. Juniper graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. where she was a Dean’s Fellow. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati. She is involved in civic affairs as a Board Member of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program, Governor for the California Women Lawyers and Advisory Board member for the Lawyers Club, of which she is also a past president. She is a member of the California Bar, the American Bar Association and the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys. Ms. Juniper is licensed to practice in California.

Ms. Juniper enjoys hiking, sushi and new adventures and describes herself as an “urban hillbilly.” Her most interesting job involved regulating the coal mining industry in Ohio where she observed long-haul mining 600 feet underground and faced rifle-bearing escorts during one on-site environmental inspection.

Lisa A. Sanderson

Lisa Sanderson

Ms. Sanderson began her career at one of San Diego’s most highly regarded law firms, Luce Forward Hamilton and Scripps, where she was a member of the corporate law department for six years and ran the firm’s trademark practice. She left the firm for a General Counsel position at Buck Knives, Inc. where she served as both legal counsel and a member of the executive management team for seven years.

In 1997, Ms. Sanderson established a private practice where she acted as outside General Counsel to several San Diego high technology companies. During this time, Ms. Sanderson expanded her expertise in the areas of licensing and e-commerce business transactions.

Ms. Sanderson attended Brooklyn Law School where she graduated at the top of her class and was an editor of the Law Review. She currently serves as a Judge Pro Tem in San Diego Superior Court.

Evelyn R. Wiggins

Evelyn Wiggins

Juniper Sanderson partner Evelyn Wiggins specializes in labor and employment law. Ms. Wiggins has 16 years of experience, advising a variety of national clients on all aspects of federal and state law applicable to employment decisions including the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act and wage and hour regulations.

Ms. Wiggins represents clients through arbitration and trial in employment cases such as wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment and other disputes. She also acts as counsel to clients in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and more. In the past three years, Ms. Wiggins has tried or arbitrated over thirty cases including complex cases involving construction disputes, landlord tenant issues, Unfair Business Practice claims and contract disputes.

In addition to her practice as a litigator, Ms. Wiggins regularly works with clients in the negotiation and preparation of employment contracts, executive compensation plans and separation agreements. Her insight and experience enables her to prepare and implement policy and procedure manuals designed to ensure consistency in application, limit risk and avoid lawsuits.

A respected trainer and educator on the subject of California employment law, Ms. Wiggins has produced and presented a series of instructional seminars for legal professionals, employers and industry organizations on topics ranging from employment law to sexual harassment and drug testing.
