Juniper Sanderson partner Evelyn Wiggins specializes in labor and employment law. Ms. Wiggins has 16 years of experience, advising a variety of national clients on all aspects of federal and state law applicable to employment decisions including the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act and wage and hour regulations.
Ms. Wiggins represents clients through arbitration and trial in employment cases such as wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment and other disputes. She also acts as counsel to clients in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and more. In the past three years, Ms. Wiggins has tried or arbitrated over thirty cases including complex cases involving construction disputes, landlord tenant issues, Unfair Business Practice claims and contract disputes.
In addition to her practice as a litigator, Ms. Wiggins regularly works with clients in the negotiation and preparation of employment contracts, executive compensation plans and separation agreements. Her insight and experience enables her to prepare and implement policy and procedure manuals designed to ensure consistency in application, limit risk and avoid lawsuits.
A respected trainer and educator on the subject of California employment law, Ms. Wiggins has produced and presented a series of instructional seminars for legal professionals, employers and industry organizations on topics ranging from employment law to sexual harassment and drug testing.
